How it works
Solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells do not need direct sunlight to work, they can still generate electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the daylight into electricity via an inverter (usually situated in the loft), which can be used to run household appliances and lighting. Any excess electricity the house does not use is exported to the national grid automatically
Do you want to SAVE 80% on your bills?
Electricity generated, by domestic solar PV panels, which you do not use in your home, is automatically exported to the National Grid. You will receive an extra payment for any excess electricity not used, on top of already being paid to generate electricity in the first place.
Reduce Your Carbon Footprint
Solar panels can reduce your household carbon footprint as well as your fuel bills. Every unit of electricity we use from the National Grid emits around 0.5kg of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Free Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)
Every Wise Green Energy order now includes a free EPC (if required), providing you with the peace of mind that your property will be eligible to claim the highest possible rate of the Feed-in Tariff. Any other energy improvements which could be made to your home will also be highlighted to you.
Turning Sunlight into electricity
Reduce your electricity bills
With a Wise Green Energy solar PV system you will be able to reduce electricity bills by up to 50%. The system will supply some or all of your power, rather than using mains electricity.
The Feed-in Tariff is a government-backed scheme that gives financial rewards to households and businesses who use solar PV panels to generate their own electricity. Even if you use all the electricity in your home or business generated from your solar PV panels, you still receive the Feed-in-Tariff payment.
The payments are guaranteed for 20 years and index linked, which means they offer an inflation proof return that’s hard to beat, especially when compared to interest rates or ISA’s offered by high street banks and building societies.

You can still get Government Funding
Government incentives are already helping hundreds of thousands of homes fund their solar panel system.
Homeowners can still install a new solar panel system, which they will own in full and get a feed in tariff for 20 years
